2black tea bagsblack tea (or 2 tablespoons loose black tea)
1cupmilk (dairy or any plant-based alternative)
1tablespoonpure vanilla extract
1teaspoonground cinnamon (plus additional for garnish)
2tablespoonshoney or maple syrup (adjust according to your taste preference)
a pinchsalt
Instructions
In a medium-sized pot, bring the water to a vigorous boil over medium heat.
Once the water reaches a boiling point, promptly remove the pot from the heat. Add the black tea bags or loose tea directly into the pot. Allow the tea to steep for about 4-5 minutes for a deep, rich flavor.
While the tea is steeping, prepare a separate saucepan to gently warm the milk. Heat it over low heat until it becomes just steaming, taking care to avoid a rolling boil.
After the tea has steeped to your liking, remove the tea bags or strain out the loose tea leaves. Add the vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, honey (or maple syrup), and a pinch of salt to the tea. Stir well to ensure all the ingredients are fully blended.
Gradually introduce the warm milk to the tea mixture, gently stirring as you pour to create a harmonious blend. Taste the mixture and add more honey or syrup if you prefer it sweeter.
For serving, carefully pour the fragrant vanilla cinnamon milk tea into mugs or cups. To enhance the presentation, finish by sprinkling a delicate dusting of ground cinnamon on top as a lovely garnish.
Notes
Consider serving the tea with a cinnamon stick in each cup for an elegant touch and extra flavor infusion as you sip.
